Find a Pet Hotel helps pet owners find a pet hotel, cattery, dog hotel or boarding kennel they can trust, and helps good hotels get found.
Choosing where to leave your cat or dog is stressful. Websites rarely show where your pet will actually sleep, prices are hard to compare, and it takes a dozen calls to find out who has space. We put the important details side by side: the type of room, who is on site, what is included and what it costs.
We focus on places that treat boarding as a holiday for the pet: their own space, people on site, light and quiet, and owners who can see how they are doing.
Our story
We run The Linden Cat Hotel in Johannesburg. Running it day to day, we could not find booking software that fitted how a pet hotel actually works: rooms rather than appointments, deposits for peak season, vaccination certificates and medication notes. So we built our own, and it now runs every booking, deposit and reminder at our hotel.
That software is Petwyse, and other pet hotels can now use it too. Find a Pet Hotel grew out of the same experience: owners kept asking us where to board their pets when we were full, or when they lived in another city, and there was no good place to send them.
How we rank listings
- Every pet hotel, cattery and boarding kennel can list for free, and a free listing is never hidden or pushed down to sell something.
- Listings are ordered by: Featured (always labelled), then Verified (the owner has claimed and confirmed it), then how complete the listing is (photos, rates), then name.
- Which booking software a hotel uses never changes where it appears. Hotels with live online booking show a "Book online" button.
- Our own cat hotel is listed under exactly the same rules as every other hotel, and is never featured.

Find a Pet Hotel and Petwyse are sister companies. We recommend Petwyse to pet hotels that want online bookings, deposits and reminders, but hotels never need it to be listed, and using it never changes where a hotel appears.
